Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates with expertise in cell culture, cell-based assays, microscopic imaging, and R&D management. The selected candidate will lead the development and operation of the Drug-Induced Liver Injury (DILI) screening platform, focusing on in vitro systems, biochemical assays, molecular biology, and image-based analysis.
Key Responsibilities
To design and carry out full work flow of projects involving:
- Mammalian cell culture (hepatocytes, organoids) Cell-based assays (ATP, ALT, LDH, CYP3A4, Albumin, Urea).
- PCR, RNA seq, ELISA, Luciferase assay, molecular biology experiments, Immunofluorescence.
- Advanced microscopic imaging (phase-contrast, fluorescence, confocal)
- Data analysis, stream line the reproducibility of experiments, SOP development, data integrity, data storage, data quality and high impact publication ready reporting.
- Generate data to feed on to the AI pipeline.
- Managing the facility, and lab space in compliance with the institutional EHS and regulatory requirements.
- Managing ordering, coordinate the logistics in compliance with the institution
- Proficiency in using computer softwares and AI tools
Essential Qualifications
- PhD in Biotechnology / Bioengineering / Life Sciences
- 2–5 years’ experience in cell culture, molecular and cell biology assays, and microscopy
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in 3D bioprinting or biofabrication
- Hepatocyte culture / 3D organoids/ 3D spheroids culture
- Image analysis tools (ImageJ, Python)
